Sunday, March 5th
Central Coast Invitational (CCI), Fort Ord (near Monterey). Fun single track on slightly hilly terrain. This race course is perfect for the first-time racer. With the 11:00 AM start, there is plenty of time to pre-ride this course. Click Here for more info/form [pdf].
Sunday, March 12th
MTB Challenge 3, Folsom Lake (East of Sacramento). This is a very fun twisty-turny single-track race, still an ideal race for a beginners, but with narrower trails and a few rocky sections make this race more challenging than the Central Coast Invitational. Sunday, March 26th
South Bay Invitational, Joseph D. Grant County Park (Santa Clara County). First hilly race of the season, a mix of single track and fire trails. Rain may cancel this event -- be sure to check this website the night before. Forms and more info available soon.
Sunday, April 2nd
Bogg's Mountain, North of Calistoga. This race has fantastic pinewood forest single-track. The hills make it challenging but the moderately technical trails make it great fun. Forms and more info available soon.
(Non-league event) April 9th
Sea Otter Classic, Monterey. This event is the second largest competitive cycling event in the world, second only tothe Tour De France. All forms of cycling come together for five days of racing and exposition. A great experience for all racers. click here
Sunday, April 23rd
Iron Angels, Angels Camp. Best known for their Jumping Frog contest, Angels camp is a small town in the Sierra Foothill. All high school events in the morning, and adult events afterward, so the kids will have the course to themselves. A mostly flat fast race with not too much technical difficulty. Sunday, April 30th
MOVED TO BOGG'S, SEE APRIL 2ND EVENT
State Championships, Whiskeytown A littlle off the beaten path -- this
epic course is up near Redding at the Whiskeytown-Shasta-Trinity National
Recreation Area. Get a good rythm climbing up the sweeping fire roads and
then descend the technical Brandy Creek single-track trail. click here
